Including and excluding with the occurrence operators
Here are a few tips that will help you work with the Google Directory:
- Don’t overlook alphabetized lists in the Google Directory such as the list of author. The authors list contains hundreds of authors and thousands of author-related web site links, and is a great way to find out everything you ever wanted to know about, say, Edgar Allen Poe, or J.K.Rowling.
- Categories that are specific to a geographic area can be found under the Regional heading. For example, you can find information about the arts in my home town, Berkeley, California under Regional > North America > United States > California > Localities
> B > Berkeley > Arts and Entertainment.
- Limit Web page searches to specific categories (or subcategories) to get pinpointed results.
